I know that your daughter's Quince Birthday Celebration is a time of great excitement for you as parents. They have dreamed of this day. Perhaps when your daughter was born, you thought, "Someday we will celebrate her fifteenth birthday." And now the day has come.
It is a great joy and honor for our parish to celebrate the Fifteen Anniversary Mass with you; In this Mass we will thank God for the gift of life and we will ask for his blessing for his daughter, so that she may conform her decisions with the Will of the Lord. Finally, your daughter will personally make her consecration to God through the Virgin Mary.
Dear Parents, the best way to transmit the faith is through actions, through a living witness of love, the parish of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus has various groups and ministries to help you and your daughter to foster faith and to have an active participation in the Church.
Rest assured that you have a special place here in your parish and we want to do everything possible to help you prepare for this celebration so meaningful to you.
Congratulations on your daughter's fifteenth birthday!
God bless you!
Traditionally the celebration of the 15 years has a social and religious sense. Therefore, parents, who wish to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their daughter, including godparents, must meet the following requirements:
The Quinceañera must be baptized, have received First Communion.
The Quinceañera must be registered in our Confirmation classes PSR and her family must be registered in our Parish of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus.
The Quinceañera, along with her parents must attend a preparation talk.
To avoid conflicts with other activities that take place in the Parish, family members are asked to make reservations 6 months before the celebration.
The Parish has stipulated a fee for the service offered. The donation includes: The Holy Mass, the premises, and the stipend of the Celebrant.
Finally, after having received the preparation talk, the Quinceañera should receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
If the Quinceañera candidate is registered with the parish, she is enrolled in PSR Confirmation classes, and the family is serving the parish then the Mass may be scheduled for Saturdays at 1:00 pm.
If not, only a blessing will be given within a regular mass on Saturday at 7:00pm or Sunday at 1:00pm.
To schedule a Quinceañera Mass call the office 770-489-7115 six months in advance.
