PARISH LEADERSHIP COUNCILS

The Pastor seeks advice and counsel from three leadership councils (Finance Council, Stewardship Council and the Liturgy Committee) in order to guide the mission and direction of the parish of St. Theresa's. Each council is responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan for a specific area of parish life and ministry within the parameters of its responsibility.

This Council is an appointed consultative body of parishioners providing advice and recommendation to the Pastor concerning the Stewardship of the parish's fiscal and temporal resources, including conducting long-range financial planning to support the mission of the parish.

The goal of the Stewardship Council is to energize a greater level of enthusiastic participation in the ministry and spiritual life at St. Theresa Catholic Church, inspiring and inviting parishioners to freely commit to generously SERVE and SHARE as faithful disciples and grateful stewards of Christ. The Stewardship Council reaches out to parishioners for the sharing of their time, talents, and treasure.

The Liturgy Committee works with the priests to plan all special Masses, workshops, and implement the rules for Liturgical ministries and is made up of all leaders of Liturgical Ministries. This committee meets monthly. Ministry heads of the ministries that serve the Mass and other liturgical celebrations are members. Those ministries encompassed are the Altar Society, Altar Servers, Extra-ordinary Ministers, Lectors/Readers, Music Director, and Ushers. Others members may be appointed by the Pastor or serve as ex officio members.
